Wisdom comes with wondering...

Who wants to read a blog published by somone who claims to know nothing? It is a valid question considering I too asked myself the same question before I started writing.  However, if you look closely and read on I think you will find the title matches this blogs' intent perfectly.

So what's with the title anyway? I stole it...from Socrates.  I stole it from him because his methods and philosophies best describe what I am going to attempt in my writing.  I have two other blogs already and I was getting hung up on how to communicate this other area of my life that is dedicated to reading books, following politics, studying business principles, moral values, or just talking about something that doesn't fit into the other niche catagories.  Socrates believed that the highest form of excellence is to question oneself and others.  He also encouraged fundemental insight to the issue(s) at hand.  I find myself doing this daily by reading books, watching talking heads on t.v. and absorbing content in other ways.  NOT being able to admit ones IGNORANCE is a grave mistake.  Being able to ask questions, wonder and deconstruct existing ideas/principles gives us all the ability to explore with more vigor and clarity.

It would be truly frightening to have grown up in a society where thought leadership, ability to question or wonder was suppressed.  Knowing less of less things, being trapped by our own opinions and not being comfortable with our own contradictions would have been a true travesty.

So now that's out of the way and before I turn this into a research project on Socratic Methods....

This blog is about:

WONDERING and QUESTIONING
LEARNING and THINKING
INSPIRATION and ENERGY
KNOWLEDGE and CRITICAL THINKING

I hope you have as much fun reading and contributing to the content on this blog as I have in writing it.
